We see improving the quality of life of people all around the globe as part of our commitment to the environment. We take a special interest in how toxic waste affects the health and safety of people, especially in third-world countries where much of today's high-tech trash ends up.
At e3light, we take pride in bringing to the market energy-efficient lighting products that will help you save energy and contribute to the global warming cause. We also sponsor a number of amateur football teams in Mexico as part of our People Initiative.
OUR SYSTEM IS REGULATED BY THE BSCI CODE OF CONDUCT
All entities in the e3light group is obligated to comply to the BSCI initiative and some has SA8000 certification (it is an auditable certification standard based on the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Convention on the Rights of the Child and various International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions) as a part of its commitment to the BSCI initiative.
BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) offers companies a common social management system to improve working conditions in supply chains worldwide.
• freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected
• no discrimination is practised
• child labour is prohibited
• legal minimum and/or industry standards wages are paid
• working hours are compliant with national laws and do not exceed 48 hours regular + 12 hours overtime
• there is no forced labour and disciplinary measures
• the workplace is safe and healthy
• the environment is respected
• there is a policy for social accountability
• there is an anti-bribery and anti-corruption policy
